Frequently Asked Questions

I have purchased Downie 2.x a few weeks/months ago and you want me to pay again?

No, absolutely not. If you have purchased Downie after Mar 1, 2017, the upgrade is free. Otherwise, no one is (or will be) forcing you to upgrade - you are absolutely free to keep on using Downie 2.x for as long as you want.

Can I keep on using Downie 2.x?

Absolutely - for as long as you want to - it is yours, no one is (or will be) forcing you to upgrade - you are absolutely free to keep on using Downie 2.x for as long as you want.

Why is the upgrade paid?

Unfortunately, we're a small company and cannot afford to provide free updates indefinitely. Downie 2.x received over 100 updates and so will Downie 3.x. It took months of work to create something as spectacular as Downie 3 is... Please keep in mind that we are not forcing the upgrade on anyone, you can keep using Downie 2.x if you'd like to.
