Adding and Removing Feeds
Adding a Feed
Click the + button at the bottom of the sidebar and enter a URL. CMRSS accepts website URLs (it finds the feed automatically) or direct feed URLs.
Feed Sources
The Add Feed dialog offers a source picker at the top. Besides direct feed URLs, you can subscribe to other kinds of sources:
- Feed URL — a direct RSS or Atom feed
- YouTube — paste a channel, handle (@name) or playlist URL; CMRSS finds the feed itself
- Reddit — a subreddit URL or simply r/name
- X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Website — resolved through the RSS.app integration
RSS.app Integration
Sources without native RSS support (social networks and arbitrary websites) are turned into feeds by RSS.app. Create an account at rss.app, then open Settings > Integrations and follow the steps shown there: in your RSS.app account, click the user button in the top-right corner, select API from the menu, and generate a new API key for CMRSS. Enter the key and secret and save. After that, picking such a source in the Add Feed dialog creates the feed for you automatically. Until then, the dialog offers an Open Settings button that takes you straight to the right pane.
Removing a Feed
Right-click the feed in the sidebar and choose Delete. This removes the feed and all its articles from the app.
